The Role
Come join our quickly growing company as part of our finance team! Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll be a member of the Finance team analyzing strategic endeavors, new business opportunities, customer pricing & profitability, multi-year forecasting, and new product ROI. This person will not only have strong general accounting knowledge and skills, but also be comfortable asking questions, improving current processes, and working at a high growth start-up.

Some Key Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison and provide financial advice and support to the leadership team
  • Work with key stakeholders in the business (finance, operational teams, leadership, and others) to deliver effective analysis of results
  • Manage and prepare recurring reports to include: Cash Flow Analysis, Customer Metrics, Dashboards, Financial Metrics and Statements
  • Synthesize large amounts of data from various information systems into executive-level presentation materials
  • Report on actual vs. forecast financials, provide variance analysis and prepare trend analysis
  • Aid in productivity, budget and forecasting measurements and other longer-term financial projections for senior management
  • Coordinate with internal departments to maintain, track and plan capital expenditures
  • Participate in activities related to the proper costing, cost analysis and calculations
  • Participate in cash flow and sensitivity analysis to evaluate scenarios for cash management optimization
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as needed
  • Collaborate with key partners to build monthly, quarterly, and annual brand forecasts
  • Prepare reporting packages and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • You are naturally inquisitive, deeply analytical, and an independent thinker
  • You have strong interpersonal communication skills, particularly in delivering data-driven insights
  • You are a team player who is not afraid to take on assignments that appear above or beneath you
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite including high-level Excel experience. NetSuite a plus
  • Ability to compile and understand large amounts of data and use that data to create well-polished presentation materials
  • 3-5 years’ corporate financial analysis. Experience in CPG industry a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or similar field
  • Fundamental understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to retrieve and analyze information from various financial and operational systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management and organizational skills

Education

  • B.S/B.A. Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or Relevant Experience preferred
