The Role: SP&A Associate
The SP&A team is responsible to partner with the business owners (brand managers) to be the ‘co-pilot’ for each of the brands, ensuring that Rainforest is making data-informed decisions to maximise near term and long term results in terms of free cash flow, EBITDA and revenue growth.
Each SP&A member serves as the business partner to several brands where you will deep dive into the fundamentals of the brands. This gives you breadth and depth of experience, and offers you the chance to make a huge impact on our house-of-brands.

Partner brand managers to create robust quarterly and annual plans for each brand
Provide strategic guidance through analyses of financial and operational performance (e.g. improvement to unit economics, ROI / P&L scenarios of investments and initiatives)
Build out business plan model & scenarios
Proactively identify optimisation and growth opportunities for brands
Build category knowledge, keep abreast of developments and conduct competitor analyses and benchmarking
Build financial models, reconstructing P&L from reliable sources
Partner brand managers to drive strong financial operating rigor
Evaluate business performance and facilitate regular business reviews
Coordinate with brand managers to create and maintain detailed financial and operational forecasts
Manage and track P&L budgets, margins and analyse variances to forecasts
Identify and analyse critical business trends and impact of key initiatives
Identify inconsistencies, key risks and opportunities
Objectively analyse investment decisions by brands team and provide recommendations on future investment decisions
Collaborate well cross-functionally to drive decisions and implement solutions
Identify and help build out infrastructure for business decision making
Continuously improve reporting infrastructure to oversee brand performance , in partnership with the Data team
Collaborate with Data team to improve and develop metrics and dashboards
Analytical background with at least 3-5 years experience in FP&A, strategy consulting or analytics
Able to perform robust Financial modelling with analytics on trends/ Ability to compute financial ratios/ Have good grasp on tracking of financial forecast with current market landscape.
Excel modelling skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working within a high-growth consumer company. Good understanding of eCommerce. eCommerce/ FMCG experience preferred
Ability to work with various stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment
Independent self-starter and a solid team player, ownership mindset and able to deliver results within tight deadline
