As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated General Counsel to oversee our legal affairs, guide risk management, and provide strategic legal insights.
As General Counsel, you will be responsible for managing all legal matters for both startups, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and safeguarding our intellectual properties. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively split their time between two companies, adapting to the distinct needs and cultures of each.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide legal guidance on issues such as corporate governance, employment law, contracts, data protection, and intellectual property rights.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Manage corporate governance for both companies, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the protection of intellectual property including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Advise on funding rounds, equity plans, and other financial transactions.
- Collaborate with management to devise strategies that minimize legal risks and enhance business operations.
- Handle any litigation or legal disputes that arise.
- Educate and provide training to company staff on compliance and legal issues.
- Coordinate with external counsel as needed to ensure comprehensive legal coverage.
You have:
- Deep understanding of financial law
- 8+ years of experience in financial sector
- 6+ years of experience with credit/risk management
- 4+ years of experience with capital markets, investment banking and/or related field
- Experience at a FinTech start-up a plus
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate with different teams across the company
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Comfortable with working with internal and external senior level executives
- Ability to independently develop financial models
