Your Role

As a Senior Manager – Workiva Implementation & Optimization Project Lead, you will:

  • Lead End-to-End Workiva Engagements: Own the delivery of Workiva projects across connected reporting, SEC, multi-entity reporting, and other reporting solutions.

  • Design Scalable Architectures: Architect solutions using Workiva’s Wdata, connected spreadsheets, and reporting modules to drive client efficiency and compliance.

  • Engage with Stakeholders: Lead requirement-gathering workshops with Controllers, FP&A teams, SEC reporting leads, and other key stakeholders.

  • Bridge Technical + Functional: Translate accounting/reporting needs into scalable Workiva architectures, integrating with data sources such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Snowflake, Excel, etc.

  • Drive Process Improvement: Evaluate clients’ existing reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation, collaboration, real-time connectivity, and reporting best-practices.

  • Manage Delivery Teams: Guide project teams with engagement oversight, issue resolution, and clear communication across internal teams and client stakeholders.

  • Mentor and Grow Talent: Coach junior team members in both Workiva functionality and consulting best practices.

  • Champion Innovation: Stay ahead of Workiva’s roadmap and new functionality (e.g., AI, Python scripting, connected reporting, updated functionality), bringing innovation into every client solution.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 7+ years of overall experience. 2+ years of hands-on Workiva experience—whether as a super-user, internal implementation leader, or consulting implementer. Must include connected reporting or SEC/GSR use cases.

  • Systems Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Workiva (Wdesk, Wdata, GSR, Mgmt Reporting, SEC) plus exposure to supporting platforms like NetSuite, QuickBooks, Snowflake, Workday, etc.

  • Consulting Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead complex client engagements, manage timelines, communicate effectively with executives, and drive project-based delivery.

  • Finance Acumen: Strong foundation in GAAP, financial close, internal controls, and/or GSR frameworks to drive reporting automation aligned with business needs.

  • Problem Solving: A natural curiosity and relentless drive for better, faster, smarter ways to work.

  • Hospitality Mindset: A passion for delivering a high-touch, relationship-driven client experience.

Success in This Role Requires

  • Vision: Ability to balance near-term wins with long-term scalable design in every implementation.

  • Agility: Comfort navigating ambiguity, multiple workstreams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Accountability: Ownership of delivery quality, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction.
